If I had an education 1 - Erika F.G.2ºAR

IF I HAD…
If I had an education, I would always do my homework, I would go to school every day and I wouldn’t skip class, even if school was far from the shack where I live. Because school is a fantastic place where you can learn lots of things like writing and reading.
Maybe in your countries these things are very simple, but if I had an education I would know how to add and how to subtract and salesmen wouldn’t trick me when I go to the market. They always charge me more than it costs and that makes me waste the little money I have.
Also, if I had an education, I would know that I wouldn’t have to be anybody’s slave. And I wouldn’t have to work with other children. I work 10 hours for only $0.25 and without breaks but here this is such a good job. Anyway, I have to work to support my family because my father was killed.
That’s why if I had an education, I would study hard to become the best doctor of Africa. I would take care of all Chipinge's people, the town where I live in Zimbabwe. And I would take care especially of my mother and my baby brother, because they have got malaria.
If I had an education, once I would become the best doctor of Africa and I would help Chipinge’s people I would take my family to a developed country so we would finally have a better quality of life and live happily.
But I’m not that lucky and I don’t have an education. I’m writing this ‘letter’ to show how important education is for me and how it would help me. I would like you to improve education here in Chipinge, Zimbabwe, so every child can have a better future. Like the future I’d wish for me.
Thank you for your help, Faraï.

If I had a better life - Noelia Franco 2ºAR

                                  IF I HAD…A BETTER LIFE
Hi guys, my name is Kari, I’m 16 and I’m Ethiopian. Someone in the street shut me that I must to talk about if I had a better life. I know that he or she was kidding me, but I haven´t got anything better to do so…
If I had a better life…, well, a better life would improve my daily life, because I’m poor, I can´t study, I haven´t got a family… If I had it, I could do things that I have never done like going to school, have a family, good health... Things that now I can´t do.
With a better life, I could study literature, because I love it, but I haven´t got enough money to pay it. I live in Ethiopia, and it is very difficult to have decent studies, because most of the people that live in my country are poor, like me.
If I had a good family and a house to live, I would be happy, because my better life will have them. Grandpas, grannies, uncles, cousins, and…parents, I haven´t got parents, they left me when I was a four years child, I think so…, it was twelve years ago. Since then, I live among trash and dirt, very sad…
With a family, I would have security, a good security, because in a future, I do not want a kidnapper to catch me. Just a few days ago, by little, I was attacked by a robber, but the police was nearby, but I don´t know why, because as I’m poor, I have nothing important.
It also would have Health Services. Certainly, rich people have better health resources, and often, they are not sick, but compared to me, as sad as it seems, I think that I’m in risk of dying. Yes, yes, yes, I can´t eat, I don´t drink since last month, nobody wants to be with me, it´s so sad for me and probably, for you.
If I were to become an adult, I would help the poor children, be with them, and I would teach them to write, to read... These are the things that I can do, because I would like to learn to do these things called addition and subtraction... All this with a better life...
When I dream about a new better life, I think of a word, friends. In my dreams, I´m with children, playing chess and running into the sun. At first, it would be strange, but beautiful in my mind, being with friends could be amazing, but as you know, I´m very lonely, and it´s so difficult to make them, when you are with dirty clothes, and you seems like a witch.
Money, another thing that I need to make my life better. Not one million Euros, Pounds, Dollars, or in my country, Ethiopian Birrs, only enough money to live like a normal person.
Then, it´s the big problem, nobody knows me, and nobody wants to be with me, I am very lonely, so, I can´t tell this to anyone, because people will ignore me, except all those who read this little story about me, and my life.
Oh! I really would want a new and better life, far from the sadness that I have now, with all the things that I would have, and sure, I wouldn´t remember the bad things that I’m passing now. In this moment, I can draw, write, and read, but, what can I do for the future? Maybe, improve my life anyway, looking for a good job, and hope that people look at me with other eyes...
All right, I have just finished, so I’m going to put this little text in somewhere, probably someone will read it, will search me and will give me one opportunity.
XOXOXOX
Kari

If I had a house- Mario Abad 2ºAR

If I had a house, I would have my own bed room, with all my own toys, my own bed, my own books and all my own clothes; I would decorate my room and paint it with my favouritecolour: orange. I would have a chicken too, to prepare food for all my family. It would be good if I had electricity to cook. I would buy an iron an oven and a microwave. I would have a big living room to pass the time with my family, to watch TV and lie  bit on my own sofa.
I would have a bathroom too, with clean water to have a shower, to brush my teeth and to wash my hands.
I would have a study room, to do my homework and to study. I would also write a lot of things and draw some pictures.
In my house, I would have a garden with a lot of colorful flowers and some trees, to have fruit every week. I could have a dog in my garden to protect the house; it would be the most peaceful place in my house, I would spend almost all day at home, playing with my toys, with my dog, with my friends and relaxing.
I would invite all my friends to my house because it would be enormous!
We would have a garage and my parents could buy a car. I would also keep bikes in the garage and my skates too!
The school will be near my house and I would have a doctor too!
These are all my life dreams .It would be a perfect life if I had a house.
Also I wouldn´t have to sleep on the street, being cold, being  afraid of the thieves and the assassins. I wouldn´t had to be dirty always.

If I had a pencil - Laura Perez 2ºAR

If I had a pencil
If I had a pencil, I would demonstrate that I am not only able to take water from one place to another or to help my family to clean the house. I am able to do many things, like writing. I could write whatever I want, my adventures and experiences, stories and poems, take notes to learn, teach other people to write, etc…
If I had a pencil, I would describe all my adventures, my experiences, my feelings... I wouldn’t have to remember the main things and forget the details.
If I had a pencil, I would become a professional writer with my amazing stories and fantastic poems. I wouldn’t have to dream it, I would have to live it. I could live doing what I want, being a writer.
If I had a pencil, I would have a better education because I wouldn’t forget the things I learn if I wrote them in papers. And, if I don’t learn in the school, in the future, I will not have a good job and I won’t earn much more money to live better.
If I had a pencil, I would draw how I see the world, instead of imagining it. The tall trees, the colourful flowers, the docile animals, the people living in peace, no death from lack of food or water, all the happy families, the world without wars…
If I had a pencil, I would give it to my family and friends, as a gift, in special days.Because, what good is it having something that only you enjoy?
If I had a pencil, I would have fun with it, imagining that I am an amazing wizard that can disappear in front of the people, can fly to very far places and can do other incredible tricks; a conductor travelling to other countries to direct the most famous Mozart’s symphonies; or an international drummer touring around the world.
If I had a pencil, I would write all the things that happen throughout the day in my diary. I could save it and in the future I would see it and remember the incredible things that happen, like when I got my first pencil and started to do things that I like, write and draw whatever I want. And, if I became a famous person, I could sell my diary and earn money.
